Last Sunday was a fantastic start to a new season of generosity to those in and around our church. While many were away on holidays etc we were able to agree to our plan of setting aside any donations above our monthly expenses into a $5,000 "Giving Kitty" that we allocate to those in need around us.
We are kicking off with 2 x $500 donations that we discussed on Sunday. We felt that we should be asking Holy Spirit to guide us this week to any additional individuals or families that he would have us bless this week.
Please join us in asking for God's guidance and let's remember that our goal is not to just be open wallets but generous people! We don't need permission to be generous. God is transforming each of us individually to be ready and willing to meet the needs around us as they come up.

Borumba Deer Park - Overnight / Day Visitors
This Friday to Sunday a small bunch of us are camping at Borumba Deer Park. Friends recently stayed and LOVED it! We are bringing a kayak, and maybe a canoe, and kids are keen for marshmallows by the fire...
DAY VISITORS are welcome! Usually, day visitors must leave by 3pm, but our group is welcome to stay into the evening. Register from 8am at the kiosk. Day visitors cost is $7 per Adult, $4 per Child or $20 per Family of 4.
The kiosk sells firewood, ice, coffee, ice slushies, basic grocery items, cold drinks, ice-creams, lollies, deer food & Borumba Deer Park merchandise.
October Bible Reading: the Book of James
This month we are encouraging everyone to read through the (short!) book of James! Read in your own Bible or listen via the Bible App!
Whether you are a novice or an old hand at the Bible, why not refresh yourself with an 8min visual overview of the book of James! Trust me, if you've never watched a summary, it will be really helpful as you read through James this month.
