It was wonderful to share convo, stories, Scripture and baptisms last Sunday!
Congratulations to Armstrong and Jack who were baptised on Sunday.
Huge thanks also to those who took time to welcome newcomers, young and old. Jesus said we would be known to belong to him by our LOVE. Let's keep loving those God is bringing to our church fam.
Last week I was inspired to contemplate the rate of change in our society.
This is a fairly new phenomenon.
In ancient times, you would be born into a world that was largely the same when you died. Today, not only do we now have the change inherent in our own development, but the world around us can change so much we can feel chaotic.
One of our protective reflexes in this type of world is to keep to ourselves. To ensure that we only do what we want to do and live how we decide.
This Sunday we will be challenged by Jesus to give up ownership of ourselves. To submit to the realities of the world around us (yes, there are people to whom we are accountable) and the world beyond us (yes, we ultimately "belong" to God, whether we like that thought or not)
Join us from 3pm at Moffat as we discover the joy of giving ourselves to him and learning to do the things he calls us to.
