Ahoy Open Roaders,
Given that God has only just started us out on our journey, there is much to pray about!
For our next worship night on SUNDAY (instead of Saturday!) 7th of May I’d love us to focus on a few areas of group prayer. To prepare us for the night I want to share a few things that I believe we need to, at the very least, begin praying for as a church family.
RHYTHMS
How do we foster our three rhythms not only in our lives, but in the lives of those around us? We may trial simple ideas or tools (questions, groups, tools, culture) others recommend or God have some entirely surprising new method in mind!
ELDERS
We need to determine a clear, biblical and effective structure for our church elders (a church's version of a board of directors) in the future and to obviously determine who they will be!
GENEROSITY
How do we encourage and practice a Jesus-like generosity as a church community? Our goal is not to simply meet our church's needs, but that together we might meet the needs of those around us.
FUTURE
What does it look like for us to gather together in the future? This could be a new location, multiple locations, more regular worship or communion, or some other surprising direction!
Of course, there is so much to pray for, but these are topics we would love to hear God's voice in 2023! Please prepare for this night by joining us in praying that we will continue to hear God and obediently to walk into the future He's calling us to!

Farewell to Stephen + Lynette
Stephen and Lynette Knust, two much-loved members of our Leadership Team, have decided to step down. They've written a short update to you all below. We are sad to see them go, but trusting for God's blessing for whatever is ahead!
Hello church,
We have decided to step down from the Leadership Team of Open Road Community Church.
We have realised over the last few months that we feel we need weekly opportunity to praise and worship with our church family. This hasn’t been an easy or hasty decision but we feel this is where God is leading us.
We pray that God continues to bless and guide Open Road Community Church as He has been doing.

Church Camp - On Hold
We had hoped to run a church camp on the weekend of June 16-18. Unfortunately, Tunnel Ridge Ranch doesn't have the accomodation we require, so we are re-assessing what's possible!
