“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning…” - Lamentations 3:22–23

We’re excited to be visiting Maleny this Sunday from 3pm for the first time in a long time! We will meet at “Bob’s Farm” at 209 Burgum Rd, North Maleny.

If you haven’t already, please listen to the songs we’ll use to praise God this coming Sunday! It may be that God’s Holy Spirit will encourage you before we even gather on the weekend!

Listen to this Sundays Worship Setlist.

This Sunday, Jared is going to lead not just our worship team, but our entire time together. To bring us into a moment of not just singing songs, but meeting with God, Jared’s felt to lead us individually and communally through a simple method we can all use in our personal prayer life, P.R.A.Y: Pause, Rejoice, Ask, Yield.

Pause

“Be still, and know that I am God…” - Psalm 46:10

We always start by centering Hearts and Minds on God himself. This takes our minds of ourselves, our challenges and our own comprehension and sets our minds on God, his power and infinite wisdom.

Rejoice

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” - Psalm 100:4

We move to celebrating what God has already done in our lives and his world. Reminding us of God’s work in history and our own personal lives leads us to rejoice in him. It reminds us that, “all things are possible”, in Christ and to expect God to be as faithful in our future as he has already been in our past.

Ask

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” - Philippians 4:6

As we centre our hearts and minds on God and his goodness, he often brings to mind areas of need in our lives that we have not brought to him. In light of God’s goodness and power, we bring all our needs, especially those causing us anxiety, to him with boldness.

Yield

“Offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” - Romans 12:1

Despite God’s willingness to hear our requests, our obligation is not to solve our own problems, but to surrender our whole selves to him alone. It is in surrendering him that our deepest needs are met, and we are well-positioned to receive God’s answers to all of our desires.

So, if you are struggling to pray, you may find the above to be a helpful starting point. You can find more prayers and resources on our page dedicated to learning how to pray.

This Sunday, come ready to sing, reflect, pray and praise! If you’re new to our Maleny venue, please leave aside 35-45mins in case you get lost :) or delayed due to the spectacular scenery 🙂

Much love, see you Sunday,

Dan

Context

After nominations for Governance Group members closed on the 16th of July, the following members outlined below have been nominated requiring approval for appointment to the Governance Group:

As the number of nominations being proposed will constitute the minimum requirements for a Governance Group, an open vote of members will suffice for approval and appointment.

Could your relationships do with more of Jesus' love?

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind....Love your neighbor as yourself.” - Jesus

Emotionally Healthy Relationships (EHR) is half of the bigger Emotionally Healthy Discipleship (EHD) course that helps us learn to love God and others to our full capacity.

In the 8 week EHR course, Pete and Geri Scazzero help to unpack core biblical principles to guide into an experience of lasting below the surface transformation in your capacity to lovingly relate to those around you.

If you have had, or continue to have, barriers in your key relationships in life, join us as we allow God to break through our mindsets and behaviours that are limiting our ability to love others like Jesus has called us to.

This is an actual course, with prayer and devotional readings 5 x days/wk as well as a chapter of a book to read each week. Come prepared to listen, learn and share.

When? Term 3
Where? Renee's house in Kings Beach
How Much? $45 for all the materials. REPLY now if you need financial assistance.
