Our church membership is an invitation to commit to living out our rhythms alongside other members of the Open Road community. While everyone is welcome to participate in our church and its rhythms, membership is an opt-in, all-in decision you're invited to consider. It's for those who wish to cultivate a lifestyle of following Jesus alongside others who share this same desire.
Members Goal
Personal spiritual responsibility to practice and champion our three rhythms. The outcome we aim for is not religious activity, but intentionally knowing and becoming like Jesus.
To foster this personal spiritual responsibility, we encourage everyone in our church to ask, “Who am I walking with?” We define “walking with” as intentional, prioritised relationships that model and champion rhythms that lead us to find and follow Jesus. These relationships could be one-on-one (mentoring, close friendships) or with a larger group (e.g. a weekly group that meets over a meal).
As we mature, especially for those who desire to be leaders, an additional question fulfils Jesus’ leadership model, “Who could I invite to walk with me?” See Romans 15:1-2 MSG
