"You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me. Yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life" - John chapter 5, verses 39–40

Ahoy Church!
Join us this Sunday as we continue to follow Jesus together.
This will be one of the shortest emails I've written in a long time 😄
Our mission is to help people find and follow Jesus.
Our rhythms ("strategy") to accomplish this are to help each other Know, Invite, and Gather.
Our vision (the outcome of our mission and rhythm) is that you and I become Fully Alive in Jesus.
Now, what's the simplest way for you and I to participate in our mission, rhythm and vision?
Reading the Bible.
Our mission isn't just to read the Bible. Our rhythms aren't only to read the Bible. Our vision isn't that we simply become Bible-readers. However, reading the Bible - God's word to us throughout history - helps us fulfil our mission, live out our rhythms and fulfil our vision.
In particular, everything we are going for requires you to not just know about Jesus, but to know him.
"You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me. Yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life" - John 5:39–40
In the Bible, we discover that life with Jesus has always been the plan.
In the Bible, we discover that we were created to be with him.
In the Bible, we discover that his desire is not just that we learn about him, but that we know him.
In the Bible, we discover that he desires to be present in and with us.
So, aside from the above reasons (there are so many more!), join us in opening the Bible yourself, and learning around it this Sunday in homes, on beaches and in buildings.
Much love, and see you Sunday,
Dan
P.S. Want a totally fresh approach to listening to the Bible? Callum said he is getting towards the end of the Bible via Street Lights Bible - an audio version of the Bible set to modern music.

Our Mission
To help people find and follow Jesus.
Our Vision
Fully Alive through faith in Jesus. To see this vision come to life, we developed FAM, our Fully Alive Model. Ideally, you can work through FAM with someone else.
Our Rhythms
Get to Know Jesus: how are you getting to know Jesus this week?
Invite people into your life: who can you intentionally open up your life to?
Gather and get involved: who can you connect, listen, share, or pray with this weekend?
Giving Up, In, and Out
Our church encourages people to set aside money each week/month to meet the needs of our church, community and beyond. We follow the same simple pattern of giving that we encourage each other individually: UP, IN, and OUT.
Giving UP
As a church, we give 2.5% to our denomination to support what's happening in churches like ours statewide and show appreciation for all the support they provide. We encourage each follower to consider giving "up" to support their local church - in this case, ours :)
Giving IN
We encourage you to be alert for personal/family needs within our church. If you know someone with genuine needs that you can't meet yourself, please REPLY now.
Giving OUT
We encourage people to be generous not just in/around our church family, but also to those serving beyond us.
"Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed." - Proverbs 19:17
Last month's giving: $10,061
Last month's expenses: $15,288
Balance: $61,944
If you would like to support what we are doing and our giving to those in need, you can get started giving to Open Road to meet the needs of our church or get in touch with any questions you may have.
