The whole of the Bible leads us to the same conclusion, God wants to not only a relationship with us in this life, but a perfect family life for eternity.
As Psalm 73 says, we belong to him. He holds us in his right hand. He guides us through life - not because he demands performance, but he desires the best for his children and seeks to offer them an eternal inheritance.
Today, as those who are able celebrate Ruth Morris' life, it's important to note that from Adam and Even in Genesis, through to the glories of Revelation, God's plan has always been eternal union with his people.
While Jesus' message took the world by surprise, it was simply the key part in God's great plan to rescue us from sin + ourselves and welcome us into his family forever.
May we all live in the knowledge that our heavenly Father has loved us and gifted us with eternal life with him.
